Friend of Education Dinner

Each year NYSUT hosts a "Friend of Education" dinner at the Woodbury Country Club. The purpose of the evening is to honor a "Friend of Education," chosen by the local’s Board of Directors. This dinner is also an opportunity to honor teachers who have served in the union for 10 years or more.

This year, the BSCTA Board of Directors voted to honor Maureen Dutcher, Assistant to the Superintendent for Business of Bay Shore Schools as our honoree. Maureen sincerely deserves this recognition and I am glad we had the chance to show our appreciation to her for her contributions to the District and for the support she continually shows all of us.

Also being honored were Stephanie Cox and Liz Sabo for ten years of service to the BSCTA. We sincerely thank both of them for their hard work and dedication to the union.

Joining Maureen, Stephanie and Liz at the dinner were Maureen’s husband, Robert, and the members of our BSCTA Executive Board; Darlene Darch, Jeff Lane, Bill Burns, Bruce Cash, Pete Southworth, Lori Gschwind, Gale Falconer, Nancy Kavanagh, Michelle Stowers and Mike Krieger.
